Five everyday scenes. Every picture is a real Inreel screenshot, taken with a demo photo library.

01
The trip you'd almost forgotten
Waiting in line for coffee, you swipe up — and there's that canal town from a trip you'd half forgotten. When and where it was taken sits quietly in the corner. Tap the heart so it's easy to find again.
-
02
Old screen recordings, gone in a swipe
A screen recording from who-knows-when, three near-identical blurry shots. Swipe left and they wait in the pending basket. When you're done, look over the basket and confirm once in the iOS dialog — only then are they deleted.
-
03
Keep the keepers
Tap the heart on the ones that make you smile. They all gather in the Liked tab, ready whenever you want to look back.
-
04
A long video? Press and hold for 2×
A 20-minute recording of a school concert? Press and hold the middle of the screen to play it at 2×; let go and it's back to normal speed. You can still scrub the progress bar.

Muted on the subway
Mute once and it stays muted — the next video, and the one after that. Press a volume button or unmute when you're ready for sound. It's the same switch you'll find in Settings.

Reel 01
Rediscover what you forgot you had
Thousands of photos sit untouched in your library. Inreel shuffles them back into view — the trip from three years ago, the video you never rewatched.
- Heart your favorites and find them all together in the Liked tab.
- See when, where and on which device it was taken — and which album it's in.
- Long videos get a progress bar you can scrub.
- Share anything with the standard iOS share sheet.
Reel 02
Clean up as you go
Rediscovering old photos is also the best moment to let go of the ones you don't need. Blurry shots, duplicates, screenshots from 2019 — toss them as you scroll.
- Swipe left or tap the trash icon to drop an item into the pending basket.
- Changed your mind? Just undo.
- Nothing is deleted until you confirm once in the iOS system dialog.
- As always on iOS, deleted items go to Recently Deleted first.
Your photos never leave your phone
Inreel has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no servers to send anything to. The app itself makes no network requests.
- No account or sign-up
- No uploads, no cloud sync of its own
- No analytics or tracking
- No AI analysis of your photos
If some originals are stored in iCloud, iOS may download them so they can be played — that's handled by the system, not Inreel.

FAQ
Is Inreel really free?
Yes. No subscriptions, no ads, no account. It's free, and it'll stay that way.
Do my photos get uploaded anywhere?
No. Inreel doesn't upload anything, and the app itself makes no network requests. If an original lives in iCloud, iOS may download it to your phone so it can be shown.
Can I delete photos by accident?
No. Swiping left only moves an item into the pending basket, and you can undo it. Photos are deleted only after you confirm in the iOS system dialog.
Does it use AI or decide what I see?
No. There's no AI and no recommendation algorithm. Inreel simply shows your photos and videos in random order.
What do I need to use it?
A device running iOS 17 or later, and permission for Inreel to access your Photos.
How can I get Inreel right now?
The App Store version is in review. Until it's out, open the TestFlight link on your iPhone to install the free public beta.
Is Inreel open source?
Yes. The code is on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license.
